There we were, just the two of us, sitting at an Elementary School lunch-room table, on plastic chairs, with aluminum trays.....????? WAIT A MINUTE!!!
I'm DREAMING. Or I should say, I WAS dreaming.

In my dream, I was just chatting up a much younger Paul, already famous, but still so darn friendly and open to everyone who approached him. What a guy!
It would have been nice to actually experience such a meeting. I have been a fan for 45 years. Wow. Forty-five years. Paul is 66 now. (I am 62...he was like the older brother I never had. We are both left-handed, but he plays the guitar and I "sort of" play the drums.)
I remember 1964 with such clarity; and the other night, seeing Paul McCartney at the Grammy Awards, singing one of the Beatles' hits from that year, must have kicked my subconscious into gear. It was a good dream.
