Tanner Kayler Dies in Traffic Accident

Tanner Kayler had just turned 29 years old when his vehicle spun out of control on an icy road near Lakeside, Montana, and crashed, killing him, in the early morning hours of March 28, 2011.

Tanner was a three-sport athlete, playing football and basketball for Loyola High School in Missoula, and baseball for the American Legion Missoula Mavericks, which earned him an athletic scholarship to Washington State University in 2000. He was so smooth at the shortstop position, like artistry in motion.

To learn of his death at such a young age, just reaching his prime, is so sad.  My son played baseball for the Mavericks during the 1999 and 2000 seasons.  I'm certain that he and all his team mates will be shocked by this tragic accident.

Our condolences to the Kayler family.

  3. He is at the prime of his life. He is too young to go. My condolences to his family. I believe it would help make it a little less difficult for the family if they take a look at www.deathletters.org. Knowing someone else is going through the same thing helped me cope when I went through the same ordeal.
